Henry S. Geyer Awards

Use Henry S. Geyer Awards on first reference. Geyer Awards is acceptable on second reference.

Each year, the Mizzou Alumni Association awards the Geyer Award, named for Representative Geyer of St. Louis.  The Geyer Act of 1839, which he authored, established the university. This award recognizes the work of public officials and citizens who have made a positive impact on higher education and Mizzou. Nominees do not have to be MU alumni.

Example: Two Tigers received the Henry S. Geyer Awards this year.
