For bulleted or numbered lists introduced by a complete sentence, use a colon after the introduction. Lists should be indicated with bullets or numerals. Bullets denote items of equal value; numerals denote the order of importance or steps in a process.
- Each item in a bulleted list should:
- Be capitalized.
- End in a period.
- Be written as if it were immediately to follow the sentence that introduces the list.
Do not use a conjunction between the final two items in the list.
