A peer advisor is a Residential Life student staff member who lives in the same residence hall community as the Freshman Interest Group (FIG) he or she facilitates. Peer advisors serve as the primary educators and resources for FIGs. They work to directly enhance residents’ knowledge of an assigned topic area both inside the classroom and within the residence halls.
